Mommy's more excited than I am.

Day 153

Adults are so funny. You try to tell them. You cry. You get fussy. But still... they remain clueless.

The flip side of that coin is when they finally clue in to the world around them and get very excited at their new discovery.

I've been cutting my first tooth for a few days now, but they just figured that out. Needless to say, they were thrilled. As for me, my gums are sore and there's another tooth right next to this one on its way.

Anyone who says they wish they could be a baby again clearly forgets the pain of teething.

P.S... Tomorrow is my 5-month birthday. Boy, how time flies!

Soon I'll be doing some serious damage with this baby!

Day 148

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful that I am not a turkey today. Or one of those people who drag the big balloons down Broadway for the Macy's parade as it's rainy and cold in New York today.

We spent Thanksgiving with Jim, Lara and Grace Fuchs at their place in midtown Manhattan. It was lots of fun!

Grace has her own play area... we had so much fun!

Nobody makes the gravy like Jim Fuchs makes the gravy.

What a spread!

A Thanksgiving feast for babies too.

Wait just a minute Grace... I think that's my toy you're eating!

The view from up here is fantastic!

Day 147

My new thing is sitting. I like it. Don't get me wrong, tummy time is great and all, but the view from the upright position is fantastic!

I still lose my balance on occasion, but for the most part, I can sit for tens of minutes on end.

Day 144

I've been showing interest for something other than breast milk for a while now, so Mommy and Daddy finally clued in and put together some rice cereal for me... and what a treat that was!

It doesn't really help me sleep better (and I'm sure they were hoping it would, as I am up nearly every hour on the hour through the night of late), but it sure tastes good!

Mmmmm... tasty!

Day 134

Auntie Roz (Mommy's cousin) came to visit us a week ago after she finished visiting her sister in Atlanta.

She's so much fun, and we did all kinds of fun things. We went for walks in the park and to the museum. She has to go home to Holland tomorrow so she can see her husband E.J. I will miss her so much. She's the coolest.

Day 126

I had my 4 month visit with Doctor Gervais today. She said I am healthy and doing just fine. Then she stuck four needles in me. Ouch!

I now weigh 15-and-a-half pounds and am 25-and-a-half inches long. In case anyone out there was wondering.

Rubber Duckie, I'm awfully fond of you.
