Day 28

Daddy fed me for the first time today. The bottle is OK, but I like getting my milk straight from the source. This bottle may take a little getting used to. We want to make Daddy feel a part of everything, so I suppose I'll have to warm up to the idea.

I am very excited! Tomorrow will be my first plane ride ever. We're taking Jet Blue to California. I'm going to meet mommy's family and visit Rancho San Julian for the first time!

Not too bad for a first timer. He's still got a lot to learn.

Yo, Oriana... keep it real.

Day 27

My weight as of today is 11 lbs., 6 oz!

Daddy's friend Oriana came to visit me today. She lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, one of the hippest neighborhoods in all of New York City. She has a cool dog too, a pug named Amilie.

Oriana is not yet used to how many pictures Daddy likes to take.

Day 26

We went to a neighborhood new mommies group this morning. It's a smaller, more intimate setting than the Mommy and Me group that meets in the park on Fridays. I felt like I could connect with those people. We had a lot in common, what with me being a new baby and them all having new babies and what not. It was cool. Next time we'll host at our place.

Mommy's friends Sara and Sarah came by this evening. They're her friends from NYU Social Work School. They're really nice and they didn't even mind that I was naked during their visit. (It was a little hot in the apartment).

Hangin' with the ladies at the new mommies group.

Daddy's home. I like it when he's here.

Day 25

Mommy and Grandma and I went to church again this morning. They have a special section outside of the auditorium for babies. That's very toughtful of them.

Daddy came home this afternoon! It seems like he's been gone for a long time. I suppose that's because I'm only three weeks old and every day right now is a large percentage of my life. For him, it was just five days, but for me it was one-fifth of my life!

Day 24

A trip to the farmers' market... again.

Who knew organic vegetables could be soooo boring.

Day 23

Another rainy day today.

The mommy and me group was cancelled. We just hung out in the apartment all day.

Day 22

I'm three weeks old!

Rainy day today. Tropical storm Beryl is blowing hard as she moves north off the east coast. I hope Daddy's OK up on Martha's Vineyard.

I love my mommy. She feeds me and changes my diapers and sings to me and reads to me and I just love her, very, very much. I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual.
