Wednesday, 19 July 2006 Day 21 Daddy left for Martha's Vineyard early this morning. I wish I could go, but he's there for work. At least that's what he says. Mommy and I went to a lactation group today. It's sort of like a cooking party for the infant set. You can never know enough about eating. That's what I say. The other big news today was the arrival of my birth certificate and social security card. I am now an official citizen of the United States of America, and a prime target for identity theft. |

Me and Grace. Enjoying a little AC.
Jim Fuchs just might be a bad influence on me.

Tuesday, 18 July 2006 Day 20 Tonight was Uncle Vince's annual Picnic in Cental Park during the free performance of the New York Philharmonic. Unfortunately the temperature was in the high 90s--not so good if you're not yet able to regulate your own body temperature. So, we opted for cooler environs at Grace Fuchs' apartment. We listened to some classical music and pretended it was as much fun as being in the park. Mommy and Daddy and Jim and Lara didn't even make us feel guilty for making them miss their favorite outing of the summer. They're pretty cool as grown ups go.

Monday, 17 July 2006 Day 19 So hot. There's a nationwide heat wave on... 90s and 100s all across the contiguous 48. We're hiding out inside today. Daddy took some nice portraits of me today. He's kinda obsessed with the camera. I guess It's because I'm so cute.
Perhaps my first official smile captured on camera. |

| Sunday, 16 July 2006 Day 18 My first church service was the main event this Sunday morning. But, apparently Redeemer Presbyterian Church's Senior pastor, the Reverend Tim Keller, is off for the month of July, because some second string associate pastor gave the sermon today. He was fine, but certainly no Tim Keller. Hurry back, Tim. |

Saturday, 15 July 2006 Day 17 Ever the socialite, my Saturday was jam-packed with excitement. This morning we visited the farmers' market down on Isham Street, and picked up a few quality fruits and vegetables as well as some organic breads and cheeses. While there, we ran into a few of my friends from the neighborhhood. FYI: The farmers' market is a great place to see and be seen.
Lucas is lookin' good.
After a nap and some projectile vomiting, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Edie and I joined our friends Brandon and Annalee for a Barbeque at the Dyckman Fields along the Hudson River here in Inwood.
A beautiful setting for an afternoon of grilling and thrilling.
The girls all fawned over me while the guys threw the baseball and kicked the soccer ball. Apparently I was the better choice, because the baseball and soccer ball both ended up in the Hudson River. Boys... a little advice... Always bet on Pink. (Or in this case, yellow)

Organic vegetables are tasty.... mmmm!
Paul keeps it real.
Brandon is the grillin' man!
Annalee is a pro at this. I can't wait until she babysits for me while my parents go to dinner and the movies. That will be so much fun!
I am... The Angry Tourist!!!

I'm hearing five by five in Stereo! Hey, is that an i-Pod?

Friday, 14 July 2006 Day 16 So, it was back to the hospital for ol' Isabella again today. Nothing to worry about! Just had to get my ears re-tested. I failed the hearing test the day after I was born, but apparently, this is a common occurrance. Today I passed with flying colors. This afternoon, we hung out in Isham Park with the Mommy and Me group again. There are so many babies and mommies in our neighborhood. I like that, because New York City can be a tough place if you don't have a friend who you can relate to. |

Thursday, 13 July 2006 Day 15 I'm two weeks old! Mommy's friend Shoshana and her daughter Celeste came by to celebrate with me! Celeste, "Tess" for short, is so cool. She's much older than I (9 months), and she knows a lot more than me. I hope we get to hang out a bunch, because a girl needs a little advice every now and again.
Tess is cool. She can fly!
We tend to nap from 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. It's a nice opportunity for all of us to catch up on some much needed sack time.

Naptime is secure with Wilson standing guard.
